Problem statement
The existing UIU UCAM system, though functional, poses several usability challenges for students. Crucial academic tasks like pre-advising and section selection are not fully system-controlled, requiring a mix of manual and digital steps. Additionally, essential information is scattered across the interface, making it difficult to access efficiently. Combined with cluttered layouts, inconsistent navigation, and unclear system feedback, these issues create unnecessary friction especially during high-pressure periods like registration ultimately disrupting students’ academic focus and productivity.

Student’s credit, CGPA, balance and other personal information at one place Current and registered semester details at feasible view point Added options in menu-bar like Routine(class routine, mid-term, final exam routine) and Notice board Class routine with details like room number, course name, and time including makeup class details
Interface displays scattered, poorly grouped information. Important alerts like deadlines or advisor info are not visually prominent. Some elements such as empty “Notice” and “Class Routine” sections occupy valuable space without correctly using user value.

Rather than manually extracting exam schedules from a generalized Excel sheet, students can view and download their class, midterm, and final exam routines separately.

If a section is full, they can now request a new one directly through the system instead of waiting in long queues. These requests go to the department, and students can track their approval status like accepted, pending and rejected in real-time.
